Nail Art Marathon - 3.Neon Nails

The nail art pen from the Born Pretty Store that I have used for my last nail design inspired me to use my daughters water pen collection. This weekend The Polish Addict group continued a challenge, that will last until the final of the year and my nail art goes perfectly with the theme.

I painted first all my nails with a white base polish and than randomly painted on them with three bright shades from the water pens. With a brush and a little bit of water I mixed the colors and finished it with a clear glossy polish. I love the outcome of this mani. How about you? Born Pretty Store Nail art pen

I continue to review products that I received laity. This time I have for you a new innovation in nail art, a pen that helps to achieve fine lines and designs on the nails, much easier than with a brush. If you don't have a steady hand, this is a product for you!

To activate the pen, you have to shake it and then push the tip down on a flat surface. Than it is ready to draw whatever you want! It goes on smoothly, and don't scratch the surface of the polished nail. My pen after a while stooped to draw, I don't know why, I shacked it, but nothing happened. After 2 days, I tried it again, and it worked. I don't know what was the problem with it.

I did a few different designs to show you some of the possibilities you can paint with it.

It is very important that the base polish to be completely dry! This pen has a positive part that I like very much, if you make a mistake you can wipe it off with a moist cotton swab without damaging or removing the nail polish base underneath. Another good thing is that this product does not contain any Toluene, DBP, and Formaldehyde.

Magnetic polish, in or out?

How many of you use magnetic polishes these days? I ask because today I have one to show you from Laura Clauvi Romania. I have to admit that I can not remember the last time when I painted my nails with a magnetic polish but two of these polishes tempted me very much because of their interesting color shift seen in the bottle.

Today I am going to show you one called No 43 Magnetic Acid Green.

Trebuie sa recunosc ca nu-mi amintesc ultima oara cand mi-am pictat unghiile cu nuante magnetice, dar doua dintre aceste oje m-au tentat din cauza culorii lor extrem de interesante in sticluta.

The manufacturer tells us:

The unique composition of the metallic and magnetic particles from this nail polish gives a touch of originality and elegance. Requires one application, then hold close the nail magnet to create the pattern you want, and you will obtain a surprising and lasting effect.

My opinion:

This polish is extremely sheer, one coat is not enough to cover the nail, at least two layers are necessary for opacity. Before drying I put the magnet very close to my nail (two times I even touched them and had to repaint it) but the effect was not that I expected. Some gray lines appeared on a few of my nails, but they were not visible enough. In some places the magnetic particles from the polish gathered and formed a darker green shade. In the bottle the polish looked excellent and I really loved it, but on the nails it kind of disappointed me. I am very curious about the other one that I've got, because that looks even more sheer than this one.

I stamped on my ring-finger nail an animal print pattern from my new bellowed Mo You London plate that I won as a giveaway at Fife Fantasy Nails blog. The black stamping polish is also Laura Clauvi, 03 Encre de Chine that I love, because it is super pigmented and transfers very well.

Oja este foarte transparenta, o singura aplicare nu este de ajuns ca sa obtii o culoare opaca. Chiar si la doua straturi oja nu se uniformizeaza destul de bine. In imagini vedeti doua straturi aplicate, dupa care am asezat foarte aproape magnetul de unghie (chiar prea aproape, am si atins de vreo doua ori unghia si a trebuit sa o repictez) dar nu s-a format un model clar, vizibil.

Am creat o unghie accent animal print cu placuta pe care am castigat-o pe blogul Fife Fantasy Nails . Modelul este stampilat cu oja speciala Laura Clauvi 03 Encre de Chine.

Prin compozitia unica cu particule metalice, lacul de unghii Magnetic iti ofera o nota de originalitate si eleganta.
