Inspired by a dress

I didn't made form quite a while a dress inspired manicure. I browsed last week the net and found a lot of interesting looking outfits, but the most impressive for me was a Carolina Herrera dress. I am sure a lot of you will like it too.

I used a recently bought polish for the base, Catrice 01 Fuchsiarama. I am not a big red polish fan, as you may already know, but this one is not the usual red shade, and even not a fuchsia one, as the name of it tells us. It is a quite special, raspberry pink shade, if I can describe it so. This shade is unique in my collection and I have to mention that I love it very much. The formula is great, it covers in one coat, but I used two for my manicure and has a wonderful glossy finish. With a black and white acrylic color I painted the feathers and on my middle finger I wanted to include the black belt application from the dress. Well, this one it didn't came out exactly as I wanted, but I didn't had the time to redo it.

And here are some pictures I made this weekend in a near located pet zoo.

I am curious how you liked my manicure and what about the dress and Catrice polish? Have a great day and thank you for stopping by!

Tag: Confessions of a Nail Polish Addict

I saw last week this tag on two of my favorite blogs (Ditta's Nail design & art, Ere K's Beauty Shelf) and I loved it so much that I've decided to take it too. Let's see the questions and my answers.

1. What nail polish are you wearing on your nails (and toes) right now?
I usually don't paint my toe nails, so they are not painted and on my nails I were:

Just a preview of my new mani, made with the phone :) More next week.
2. What is one nail product can’t you live without?
I have many nail product's I can not live without and I could number them here, but if I must name one than it would be Eveline 8 in 1 treatment. This product worked magic on my nails. From the time when I started to use them, my nails are healthier than ever!

3. What is your favorite nail brand (mainstream and indie)?
I don't have a favorite nail polish brand. I am usually not drawn by the brand, I prefer different colors and finishes and when I see one, and I like it, than  the brand does not matter.

4. What shape nail do you wear (short or long)?
Well, that depends on how attentive I am with my nails, it happens that I brake them down and than I have to file them short, but honestly I prefer long nails.

5. What is your go-to colour?
Green. I can not resist a beautiful green shade!

6. What is your favorite nail polish finish?
Hard to answer because I don't like just one. I prefer creme, jelly, matte, glossy, suede, glitter and so on. But my absolute favorite ones are the mutichrome and holographic finishes.

7. What’s on your nail polish wishlist?
My wishlist is extremely long and it becomes more and more longer as the time passes by :)) On my wishlist they are Dance Legend, Essie, ILNP, Fun Laquer, P2, essence and many, many more polishes.

8. When do you usually paint your nails (morning, afternoon or evening)?
I unfortunately have no time to paint my nails in the daytime, so I am forced to do them in the evening when my daughter goes to sleep. Than it is my time for relaxation and fun, playing with the colors and techniques!

9. What’s your top nail tip you swear by?
I don't have tips, besides, don't cut the cuticles, use a base and top cot when ever I paint my nails.

10. What nail polish do you regret buying?
I never regret buying a polish but as I already mentioned in an another TAG, Coral Milano and some Farmasi polishes didn't satisfied me.

11. Neons or pastels? Brights or darks?
Between neons and pastels I definitely would choose the pastel shades, but I like in summer time to were neon's too!

I like in the same way bright and dark shades too!

12. What is your holy grail white, black and nude polish?
I don't have one, but I liked very much how Pure Milk - Flormar covered, and the shine of Maybelline Onyx Rush nail polish is absolute fantastic. As the nude shade I like very much P2 Volume Gloss - Cute girl.

13. What is one brand you want to try but haven’t yet?
Dance Legend, all the polishes I saw until now blow mind mind, they are gorgeous!

I hope you enjoyed this TAG, feel free to take it too and answer the questions!

Have a great day and thank you for stopping by.

30 minutes manicure and a weekend trip

The last week was very stressful and hard for me, this is why painting my nails became impossible. But one night I had 30 minutes to do my nails, so I opted for a very simple summer nail art.

I took two of my unused polishes from my stash - KIKO 389 Mint Milk and Catrice - Million Brilliance - 08 My Big Green Weeding. The Kiko polish is a bright light mint green shade, perfect for summer, the formula is a little bit denser, so it almost covers in one layer, but I used two, because of the visible streaks. My middle finger I topped it with one layer of the gold/green glitter polish from Catrice. The outcome looked to simple for me, so quickly I took the gold stamping polish form the Born Pretty Store and stamped on two of my nails a pattern from the BP-L 005 stamping plate.

I liked very much the outcome of it, even if I had some issues to take pictures from this mani in artificial light conditions.

Fun and easy to apply tattoos, perfect for summer time. You can find them here

At the weekend we traveled to the Corvin Castle (Castelul Huniazilor) wich is a Gothic-Renaissance castle in Hunedoara. It is one of the largest castles in Europe and figures in a top of seven wonders of Romania. We loved the grandiose castle, the towers, bastions and the inner courtyard, we felt like transported back in time.

On our way back to home we stooped at The Fortress of Deva (Cetatea Devei) which is located in the city of Deva on top of a volcanic hill. We used the funicular to access the top of this hill. That was quite fun for the children!

I am glad we made this trip, we had a lovely time and we were lucky too that the weather was perfect! If you travel to Romania, just take a few hours and go to this wonderful places!

If you liked the above products I sowed you, they are from the Born Pretty Store, so if you purchase anything from there, you're welcome to us my discount code from bellow.
