Playing arround with polishes

Recently I saw a wonderful manicure on Pinterest with a gradient nail art and simply added on it a line of glitter polish. I decided to make it too, because I liked the effect very much. Of course mine didn't came out as I wished, but here it is.

I made a gradient with two beautiful polishes, a soft cream shade with a subtle hint of shimmer from Nails Inc - Elizabeth St. and the gel look purple polish from Moyra - No. 912. Than I used a glitter polish called Enjoy, I bought last year in Hungary and I added on the middle of each of my nail a line of it. The glitter particles didn't listened to me, they did not positioned themselves exactly how I wanted. So I had to try it with an another polish, and this time I used a holo polish from Orly - Explosion of fun.

I am not very satisfied with any of these results, but now I am very curious about your opinion!

Thank you for stopping by!

  1. Lovely! I thought your tips are more yellow than baby pink, but whatever it is, it looks wonderful! :-D

I actually like the first glitter better in this combination, but they are both great polishes.
I sure am no expert, but maybe a thinner line down the middle would have done the trick for you and satisfied you more?!

  20. Yes, I think too that the polish combination in the first mani is much better, but I don't like the posisionof the glitter particles. This is why my favorite one is the second mani! Thank you for your comment!

  27. Yes, your totally right, I wrote two posts and by mistake I wrote pink instead of nude. Thank you for drawing me the attention, sometimes I hurry to much! :( The first combination was my first choice too, but I didn't liked how the glitter particles positioned themselves, this is why I used the other polish to try it out how it works with it. I have to mention that I like the second outcome much better because of the finer line I obtained. I didn't used any striping tape, I just put it on with the brush from the bottle. Next time I am going to use some striping tape for a better result. Thank you for your comment! Have a great day!
