Alphabet nail art challenge - Letter E

This is the first letter that nothing interesting came to my mind. I thought to make elephants, elf's, a drawing from the Epic movie, but non of these were appealing for me. Than I've browsed the internet and found an Egyptian style nail art. I fell in love instantly in the design and I recreated it, adding my touch. (I would give credit for the design but I didn't find a link for this one).

I used: Front Cover - Red Shoes, Boots 17, Golden Rose Gel Look top coat, black acrylic paint and studs.

Hope you enjoyed my design and now you can go to check the other girl's nails!

  4. Nominate 11 bloggers who you feel deserve this award and who have less than 1000 followers

Well, here are the 11 facts about me:
  1. I have a 7 year old beautiful daughter, she is my everything!

  3. I am working in advertising.
  4. I hate to be alone, I always need to have my family and friends with me.
  5. For me relaxation means to go out for shopping with my friends or spend the day in the company of great people.
  6. I love pats! In my childhood I had dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, turtle and now I can not have them because my husband does not like them :(
  7. I love to travel, it is indifferent where.
  8. I just love to be as active as possible, we live just once, so lats make the most of it, this is my motto!

  10. I love to go out in restaurants and try new kind of foods, even if my diet is very strict.

And now the answers to Oana's questions:

  • 11. If you would find out that it is your last day of your life how would you spend it?
  • Well, I have a long story for this question but I try to be short. I don't know how many of you know, but I had cancer, so when I found out it was a total shock for me and until my results came out after my surgery's I lived my life in fear that I am going to die to early and I won't see my daughter growing up. The feeling is horrible! So, the answer to the question is: I spent a lot of time with my daughter and family! Watercolor bubbles

Hello ladies

How was your weekend? Mine was wonderful, and I will show you at the end of this post a few pictures I made, but first my nails. I was in the mood for a playful design, so I thought to use acrylic colors and the new watercolor technique. I saw a lot of great manicures made in this style, mine is not so well done, but I will share it with you.

I used:
Coral Milano M03, Sally Hansen - Lavender Cloud, acrylic colors and a small brush.

Last week I bought the cream looking Coral Milano polish, because it seemed to be a great one in the bottle, but after applying it was a disaster. I put it on my pinky and pointer finger in three layers, because in one coat the cream effect can not be seen at all. This polish contains small white and blue glitters and medium sized red and blue hex glitters. These glitter are not smooth on the nail surface even after I applied a generous top coat they caught in the hair and clothes. If I will use it again, I will apply it as a top!

The watercolor bubble technique is really easy. Mix acrylic paint with water and make irregular drips on your nails, after it take a dry brush and touch the bubble, the water should absorb and it  leaves a ring.

Now, about my weekend. From last Friday for a week my city is celebrating town days - Zilele Clujului, so we went and had some fun looking at different exhibitions, concerts and multicultural events. So, I warn you this part is picture heavy!

I hope you enjoyed these colorful pictures, I would love to read your oppinion about them!

I wish you all a great week begin!

Alphabet nail art challenge - Letter D

I am always very exited about the weekly T.P.A. (The Polish Addict) group challenge. I am very curious about the girls work and creativity, as you sure noticed each of us has her own interpretation for the alphabet letters! We are at letter D and this time I didn't thought much about the theme, I put on my nails my very first idea: daisies and dots!

I combined the beautiful cream green polish from Modelite - mini HD F12 and the glitter polish from p2 - get gorgeous! I added the flower design with the help of a dotting tool and a white polish, and finished it with the gel look top coat from Golden Rose.

As you can see I matched my mani to my handbag. It was a lot of fun to wear this design and see the reaction of the people when they noticed that everything is matching on me!

I hope you enjoy my work as I do and please go and check the blog of each lady. You will find a lot of original ideas!

Lace effect and a new Farmec product

Last week I noticed that the Romanian brand Farmec brought out a new top coat with gel effect. Well, of course I had to try it quickly, because I was very curious about it. I am lucky that I live in Cluj Napoca, the city where this brand was born, because this way the new products are very easy to find! I went in the shop just to buy the top coat, but I came out with a gorgeous pearl effect polish, and a nail polish cleaner. I was very eager to try all the new goodies, so here is my opinion about them.

I wanted to create a subtle lace effect on my nails for a very long time, and now came the moment to do it. I used for the base the Farmec nr. 313, which is a very sheer pastel, lavender toned polish. In the bottle the lavender shimmer is more visible but after application it transforms in a shinny pearl effect. I applied it in two coats, but for a fully opaque result I recommend three or four! I choose my beloved Suki Plate Collection stamping plate by MoYou London and stamped my nails with Barry M. - Dusky Mauve. This polish is a very good dupe for Chanel Paradoxal.

Two coats of Farmerc nr.313, without top coat

I finished it with the Gel Top Coat from Farmec. This is what the product promises "Gel Top Coat innovative product refreshes and protects nail polish color. Gives nails an intensive shine and instant volume due to gel effect. No need for UV light." Yes, it is true, the shine is very powerful and it lasts quite long. I don't know if I can compare it with the gel effect, maybe if I would applied it on a stronger, more intense color it would be more visible, but I am positively impressed by the quality of this product. It dries quickly, approximately 5 minutes only, it offers a wet look professional finish. I used it on stamping to check if it smears, but the result was an impeccable, smooth and clean finish!

I hope you like my elegant manicure as I do. It was a little bit hard to capture the beauty of it in my pictures, but I did my best!

Look up for MoYou London site,
because you will always find new plate collections!
