Halloween claws

I think I mentioned so many times that I don't like to were Halloween nail art on my nails that you all got bored already...but I have to admit I enjoy to see the creations of others a lot.

Last weekend I stayed at home with my daughter because she got the flue and thought to have fun and make some Halloween nails. I own a Born Pretty Store plate with specific patterns for this theme, that I have never used so, it was time for it to put it in action. But considering that I don't like to were this kind of nail art, I thought to make them on nail tips and this way experiment some new nail shapes too.

In the same time I tried a UV soak-off nail polish (Chameleon UV Gel Multi Chrome Soak Off #9) that I have received for review from the Born Pretty Store, that goes perfectly with the design I imagined. First I matched some nail tips to my natural nails and shaped it to fit as well as possible. I used a black soak off nail polish for the base and added the duo-chrome topper in one coat. The formula of the nail polish is thicker but it can be applied very easy. Curing time in the UV lamp was 2 minutes. Than, I stamped the Halloween patterns form the BP-L031 plate with a white stamping nail polish and added here and there glitter UV nail polish to make it a little bit glamorous :)) I finished it with a top coat and than placed it on my nails. In the photos is visible that the nails are fake, but still, it was fun to make something different than usual.

If you like the nail polish you can find it HERE and you can use my bellow seen discount code if you purchase something from the Born Pretty Store site.

Now, I am super curious about your reaction to my mani. It is clear to me that this shape is not for me and everything looks fake, but for Halloween I think is't OK, don't you think?

Happy Halloween to all of you who celebrate it!

Cat eye holographic nail polish review

I have two more UV soak-off nail polishes to review that I have received from the Born Pretty Store. I think the one I am going to show you today is perfect for this season because it is cooper. On the site it is mentioned to use it on a black base but I tried it without, and in 2 coats I obtained a beautiful opaque color that covered evenly my whole nail surface. The nail polish is magnetic, so if you use a magnet you can obtain that beautiful cat eye effect that I have already showed you in one of my past reviews, HERE.

It is so hard for me to describe the color of this nail polish because it has that scattered holo glitter in it, which makes it glow in the sun. But just look at my macro photo and you can see this nail polish real beauty. I made an accent nail with an abstract looking water decal.

All in all I love this nail polish because it is very versatile and on the Born Pretty Store site it is a whole collection of beautiful colors. Just check them out HERE. If you decide to try it too or you purchase anything from the site you're welcome to use my bellow seen discount code.

There are just a few days to enter my giveaway in collaboration with the Born Pretty Store. Don't miss it. GIVEAWAY

Glow baby glow

Recently I bought some new nail polishes even if I am quite sure that I own something similar, but well a polish addict remains a polish addict!

I wanted to make an elegant nail art and the nail polish called Make-up - Lustre  designed by Barbara Daily for Tesco it was perfect for it. It has that elegant glow, sparkle and golden iridescent all in one. I dared to combine it with a silver crackle nail polish by Ciate. Of course I didn't added the nail polish just simply with the brush because I am not a big fan of the crackle effect, instead I dabbed it with a sponge on it. The Color Smash nail polishes drys matte but I covered it with a glossy top coat and I think the effect came out interesting :)

On my middle fingernail I added a retro patterned water decal and a thin silver deco stripe.

In natural light conditions the golden nail polish has some pink shimmer, so I think this one is a pretty awesome and versatile nail polish!

I hope you like my today's nail art and I invite you to my GIVEAWAY! Good luck to all participants!

Fall colours

I have to put my nails in fall colors even if I have no mood to take out the darker nail polishes from my stash. But I have so many pretty nail polishes and I have to admit I have forgotten about some of them, like about this classic fall shade from essie called Wicked. I don't know how to describe this shade, it is a deep, dark red, almost black with a creamy finish. It's vampy and I like it this way 😈
The formula is fantastic and it gets opaque is just one coat, but I used 2 ones as usual. On my ring-fingernail I painted two coats of Golden Rose textured #54 and on my middle finger I stamped a pattern form the plate by Born Pretty Store.

I enjoyed a lot to were this combination. How do you like it? Do you own polishes that you completely forget about it?

Beauty Bigbang nail foils

Now days nail art foils are very trendy and there are so many types of ones that I am always in trouble when it comes to choose just one. Well, the Beauty Bigbang site thought to make a pack of 12 little boxes of different nail foils. It was a fantastic idea because this way you get silver foils, gold foils, rose gold foils and an interesting spotted copper foil which has shades of green, blue and purple in it. The foils are super thin and easy to apply. I made two manicures and with the help of a tweezers I ripped in small pieces the foils and just put them on my painted nails on random places. The foils have a beautiful effect and any simple looking nail art can change to an extravagant one because of the shinny looking foils.

In the past I used such kind of foils (but they were ruff and not so thin like these ones) and I always had some problems when I put the top coat on, they lost their shine or they shrink, well this time everything worked perfectly.

If you like the set of foils you can find them HERE and you're welcome to use my bellow seen discount code too, for any of you're purchase from the Beauty Bigbang site.

Shades of Pink

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and even if I am very, very busy with other stuff than nail art I had to do a manicure and support this cause which is close to my heart. Why, well I am sure most of you already know it.

Living a pink life is hard, I don't want to go in details of all the hard things I've been through from 2012 until now, you would be terrified to hear it. I just want to raise awareness and tell you how important is to make a yearly check up for your breasts...and for your overall health condition. IT CAN SAVE YOUR LIFE! This is not a myth it is the truth. If it does not hurt, does not mean that you can not have a problem or even worth, cancer. My breast cancer did not hurt, I just felt a small lump and from that moment on everything changed in my life.

Seeing some old videos I saw how much I've changed through these 5 years, because of chemo, hormone treatments, surgeries, but I am here and I am alive, and I can be with my family and raise my daughter. I don't know what the future will bring for me but I will never give up the fight, even if sometimes I am extremely tired of it.  Besides that I want to share my experience with other women and my daughter, because I think people can find inspiration or even resources if it is needed through my story. The tragic fact is that not everyone survives breast cancer. But if women are diagnosed in early stages the chance of full recovery is very good.

I hope that you like my manicure for this case and don't forget the most important thing, go make a screening and monthly you can make a self-examination too. HERE you can find 5 steps how to do it correctly.
