Group challenge: Studded nails

I am in a group called The Polish Addicts and the girls thought to have a weekly challenge. This time we had the theme studded nails. With this opportunity I used my latest purchased polish from OPI, the well known PUSH and SHOVE. This is a polish with an ultra-chrome finish.

For a proper effect it must be used with the OPI Lay Down that Base polish. After applying the base coat in a thin layer comes the chrome polish in 2 thin coats, without using any top coat.

I think this is a very cool polish, but if it is not used as mentioned above any tiny little flaw can be seen on the surface of the nail. The other big negative side of this polish is that it does not resist on the nails more than one day, it is very sensitive and chips off very quickly.

And here is my manicure for the challenge.

Do you have this polish in your collection? What is your opinion about it?
How do you like studded nails?

Look up for the other ladies work, because they are all very talented!

Sides wiped manicure

I made a bright and playful manicure inspired by a very talented nail artist Drama QueenNails. She created a technique called sides wiped mani, it is a very easy one, anybody can do it and can obtain a very eye catching design.

I used three polishes, KIKO 312 which is a medium bright pink polish with a very subtle shimmer and a white and a black polish from Gabrini. I applied the white base, I took a toothpick and dipped it in the black and pink polish and made those tiny little lines and dots by wiping the toothpick sideways on the nail surface. I finished it with a gel look top coat, easy no?
I added a black and white spotted stud and put a few pink dots on it to make it part of the design. I love the final effect and I am sure that I will use this tehnique more often.

Stamped nails

Recently I bought a few stamping plates with patterns that cover the hole nail and nail accessories so I was very anxious to try them out, here is the first attempt of stamped nails, be gentil with me :)

I am definitely going to practice more! Here is what I used: the base is 161 Vivid Purple by Barry M and I stamped it with 319 Foil Effect, also by Barry M. My accent nail is topped with a multicolor glitter polish by Cupio and I added a bow for a girly effect.
