Match the dress

I didn't made such themed manicure for a long....very long time, even if this topic is one of my favorite ones. Recently I had a little bit more time for me and I browsed the internet for some interesting looking dresses and I found a beautiful abstract printed floaty cape dress by Lavish Alice.

One night I couldn't sleep and thought to recreate the dress pattern on my nails. I painted a white base and with a black water based pen I randomly draw some lines. With the help of a brush dabbed in alcohol I slightly touched the lines to create that water spotted effect. The problem was that the black changed in a military green shade, but I started to like the effect of it a lot and this is why I didn't wiped it off. Than, I added a few spots of nail polish on each of my nails with: s-he Stylezone 317 and Vera Valenti #809. I finally thought to add a little bit of gold foil too, but after painting the top coat, the effect of the foils melted together with the nail polish. All in all, even if my final manicure is not very similar to the dress, I am glad that I made this design and I have to admit I like how it turned out.

Now tell me, how do you like this manicure? Can you give me some dress suggestions that I can use as inspiration for some nail art?

Thank you for stopping by!

I know that Christmas is coming and I should be getting in the holiday spirit with my nail art, but recently I received a surprise package from the Born Pretty Store with a gorgeous set of water decals and I simply couldn't resist them and I wanted to use them ASAP.

I choose an exotic patterned water decal combined with a magnetic green nail polish Bell - Magic Magnetic #045. The decal is easy to use and I added on a white base.

Tribal stamping plate review

As I mentioned on my last post I am testing Née Jolie stamping plates, that I have received from the Born Pretty Store. Today, I have one with tribal designs. I usually get inspired when I see such patterns but this time, I had a big blank, nothing came to my mind. I made two designs, one a simple one using just two nail polishes and the second one a much colorful one. I like the second one how it came out, but I admit I could have done better manicures with this plate!

Polishes I used: Barry M - Bright Red and S-he #345

Polishes I used: Max Factor - Deep coral, Moment - Celebracion and Miss Cop, Candy nails - Mitral citron
I have some more photos to show you from my trip and these are the last ones, at least for this year :). Romania has amazing mountains and places and I had the opportunity to see some gorgeous views through our journey.

We stooped in a small town called Fagaras and visited the Fagaras Fortress which was built in 1310. I was impressed by how huge this fortress is. It is beautifully preserved and it has a fantastic Museum in it displaying Roman artifacts, a collection of medieval weapons and traditional folk crafts.

Our next stop was in the beautiful city of Sibiu. Even if it was extremely cold we took a walk and saw the top attractions of the city.

I hope that I did not bored with my trip photos, but I was so impressed by this small trip that I had to share with you my journey. As about the plate it works very good, the patterns are well carved in and my silicone stamper picked up the images with no problem. I think this plate offers versatile images that can be combined  easily to great tribal designs.

If you like this plate you can find it HERE and you're welcome to use my bellow seen discount code when you buy anything from the Born Pretty Store site.

Née Jolie stamping plate review

I don't know if you heard about Née Jolie stamping plates, for me definitely was something new and I was glad to find them on the Born Pretty Store site. I received for review two plates from this brand and today I am going to show you one which has mandala like patterns. I am talking about Née Jolie Rectangle Stamping Plate NJX-010.

The plate comes in a cardboard sleeve, exactly like the Born Pretty Store ones, and it is covered with the blue silicone wrap for protection. The size of the plate is approximately 12x6cm and contains 8 big patterns. For my first nail art I used the transparent silicone stamping had and I had absolutely no problem to pick up the images and put it on my nails. The patterns are quite big, so they are perfect for long or wide nails. I made two manicures and I am curious which of the nail art do you prefer better!

Nail polishes I used: Topshop NAILS - Amethyst, OPI -Nicole - Give me the 1st dance and I stamped with Barry M - Foil Effect 319

Nail polishes I used: s-he 178, Maybelline - Lookout Lemon,
beauty uk - Street Rose, Le petit cliche - Siames

As I promised in my last post I am going to continue to show you pictures from my trip. It was so hard to choose from all the photos I took, autumn can offer so many pretty things for the camera!

We visited Europe's biggest bear sanctuary called Liberty. This sanctuary was created in 2005 by a wonderful woman who's dream was to rescue as many bears as possible, who became tourist attraction or circus clowns. The sanctuary has now 82 bears and they are all free and happy on a 70 hectares of oak and hazel forest in the Carpathian Mountains near to the town of Zarnesti. If you have the possibility go and visit this magical place!

Unfortunately some of the bears have some hard life stories, but at least they are happy and free now! People can be heartless sometimes!

In the big wildlife we saw a wolf to. I am happy that he didn't came near to us :)

The next stop from Zarnesti was Bran and we visited the Bran Castle, so called ‘Dracula’s Castle’. I enjoyed to walk on the small secret passages in this big castle and read all the stories that make this place a tourist attraction!

Even if it was cold, nature offered us such gorgeous views that we simply forgot about the weather and enjoyed each moment of this trip!

I have more pictures to show you, but I live it for next time. And if you like the above seen stamping plate you can order it on the Born Pretty Store site HERE and you're welcome to use my bellow seen discount code.

The plate is on SALE now, just go and grab it!
