Nail Team Challenge: Recreate a mani by your favourite blogger

This is a fantastic theme thought by Ella, Ella's Beauty Corner, and a complicated one for me. Why? Because I have a LOT of favorite blogs that I follow and I couldn't decide what manicure to recreate. After several day's of thinking and rethinking, I choose to make a recreation of Galina's, AK - yagala from Instagram  nail art. OK, she is not a blogger, but she is a super talented nail artist that daily makes some fantastic looking designs with tutorial videos too. She makes it look so easy, but I can assure you, some of them are quite hard to make! I browsed her account until I found a mani that I absolutely loved when I first saw and I knew that someday I am going to try to make it too. You can find the original one here, and now enough with talking, I live you with my recreation.

For the base I used Rimmel- Lose Your Lingerie. It is a beautiful pale, pastel pink creme with a subtle silver shimmer. The flowers on it are painted with acrylic colors.

I hope you like what I made, I enjoyed to were these beautiful flowers on my nails, at least I brought a little sunshine in my life!

L’oréal - Granite effect

I continue to use my new polishes from my stash. Today I am going to show you L’Oréal Paris Color Riche - 890 Masque Lover - Granite effect. This is a textured polish with a gray base that is full with tiny white and black micro particles that gives that granite like effect. The formula is easy to use and covers in two coats. It sparkles a little bit, the surface of the nails is grainy so the effect is proper for the name of the polish!

I stamped on two of my nails a swirl looking pattern from a MoYou London plate and added two small black rhinestones on it. Tough the stamping didn't came out as I wished, I like how it looks on my nails!

Do you have this polish? How do you like it?
Did you tried some other special effect polishes from this collection?

Nail Team Challenge: Negative Space Nails

As you can see in the title today we have negative space nails. This is a design that I really love to wear, so I was super exited that Madalina, Frumusete la pret mic, choose it!

Last year in October I had a post about the new nail trends in 2015 (you can find it here) and there I showed you a negative space mani that I wanted to recreate. So, this is the time for it. I made it a little bit different tough, let's say it has a touch of Andrea in it :))

I used two beautiful polishes: GOSH - 549 Holographic Hero and Le petit Cliché - 86-60-86.

GOSH - 549 Holographic Hero is a polish that I wanted as I saw it. So,the lovely Oana, who knew it sent me as a surprise gift for me. I was super thrilled and I hardly waited to try it. GOSH is a UK brand that is not available here, so of course I wanted it very much! The polish is a silver micro-shimmer polish with not a strong holographic effect in normal light conditions. The formula is thick enough to cover well in one coat, but two coats are needed for a good coverage. The interesting part for me was that it dries to a satin finish, in the pictures it is not visible because I used a glossy top coat. Overall it is a beautiful polish and I want to thank you Oana for being so kind and send it to me!

Le petit Cliché - 86-60-86 - it is a  dark toned blue polish with a little purple in it and it has a blue/purple shimmer that has a beautiful reflection. The formula, flows nicely on the nails and it is simple to apply. I think this is very elegant polish that can be used in various occasions.

In direct sun light

I absolutely loved and enjoyed to were this mani and in the future I am going to play more with the negative space designs because I love the effect of them on the nails.

Let's see what the other girls made for this theme:
I am very exited for the next theme too!

As you can see I made some changes to my blog, of course I didn't finished it yet, I need more time for it. Until then, I will use this layout and my old watermark. Sorry for this mess. How do you like this new look?

Have a fantastic weekend and thank you for stopping by!

Guest nails

Does of you who follow me from a longer time know that sometimes I do the nails of my friends and share them with the title Guest nails. Well, today I will show you three manicures I made for my sister in law and two of my best friends.

First, the nails of Alina. She wished for green nails with roses. I used decals and added some dots to it. Simple and super easy one.

Then, the nails of Aliz. Her choice was red. I added a little bit of gold to it and some half flower decals.

The last one is the nails of Edith, my sister in law. She has gel nails. She wished for green and I made an accent nail with the distressed technique and I added a rectangle stud on it!

Which one is your favorite?

Have a great day and thank you for stopping by!

Nail Team Challenge: French manicure

We are at the second challenge Saturday, and this time we have a very elegant theme proposed by Andreea - Ditta's Nail design & Art, french manicure. This time I choose two of my unused polishes, for the base Farmec - It's freezing out there and for the tips and stamping Nails Inc - Victoria.
Farmec - It's freezing out there, is a very interesting color, hard to describe it tough, it is a grey cream shade with a subtle purple shimmer. I applied it in two coats for full opacity. The formula is perfect, it lives no strikes and dries very fast! This polish brand is the most resistant one I ever known, you can were the color more than five days without chipping, and if you add a top coat, than even more! Excuse my dry cuticles!
Natural light
Natural light
Nails Inc - Victoria, is a great dark cherry jelly, I can say it looks quite vampy! If you want dramatic shades, this is the one for you! The formula is OK, I used just one coat to cover my nail tips. On my ring finger I stamped with this polish a small flower with a Moyou plate.
Artificial light
Before I finalized this mani, I added a coat of silver holo polish from Flormar on it and now I am super sorry that I didn't made any pictures to show you the difference between the impact of the manis. I mean with and without the holo polish.

I wore this mani for about a week, I think optically it lengthens my nails. It is not the classical version of a french manicure, but this combination looks interesting in my opinion. How do you think about it?

Chickpeas on bread

Before the weekend's nail art challenge, I wanted to share with you an easy and tasty recipe. This is complete vegan, it has a lot of benefits for does of you who don't eat meat, because it contains chickpeas that are a good source of protein.

Ingredients:
  • hand full of hydrated and cooked chickpeas
  • hand full of sliced and cocked carrots
  • 2 teaspoons of fresh ramsons (wild garlic) or dried ones as I used extra virgin olive oil, salt and pepper

Put all the ingredients in a blender and mix it until you get a paste that can be put on a bread. Add as much olive oil it is needed and if you like it more spicier you can add garlic too in it.

Serve it with toast or bread and sliced tomatoes. It is very delicious and healthy!

Have a great day!

Miss Sporty glitter polish review

Hello lovely ladies, how did your week started? Mine is OK, until now.

Before Christmas I added to my collection a new glitter polish from Miss Sporty - Oh My Gem! 003, which is a deep purple jelly polish. I was very lucky and I've got it as an offer together with a peel off base coat, that works fantastic and helps a lot when it comes to remove the glitter from the nails. I completely forgot to take a picture when I removed the polish, sorry about it. But I recommend you this base coat, I am sure that I will re-buy it too!

I added the polish in two coats on my nails, but perhaps it would looked better in three as I see the pictures. The polish is quite sheer even if the finished color looks deep!

I couldn't live just the plain glitter polish on my nails and I added a floral stamping pattern on it with my new MoYou 220 stamping plate, that I won at a competition organized by the lovely Andreea, Ditta's Nail Design & Art and after a while I added a few silver studs too. I just got carried away!

I like very much how the glitter particles shine in the sun, and I am thinking to add a few more polishes from this collection! Do you know them? Which one is your favorite?

Thank you for stopping by!
